NOW ADOPTED -18 mth old Bear available to adopt in Northamptonshire

Bear is an 18 mth old female English Mastiff living in Northamptonshire.

* She can be homed with children aged 7 years upwards

* Could be rehomed with a dog around her size

* unknown around cats would advise a cat free home because of this

* walks well on lead without pulling

* is wary of strangers will bark.

Bear is a beautiful friendly girl, whom the carers at the kennels she is currently residing in speak very highly and fondly of , there has never been an issue around other dogs during her stay. Bear is in here due to having a fight with the resident Jack Russell at her home, sadly there were some injuries that were serious, it is thought this incident was not entirely her fault but could be down to her only just being spayed and the play getting too boisterous at a time where she is unsettled and probably in pain. The kennels know her and her fellow house mates well due to them staying there before.  Her assessor has said she is extremely affectionate and gentle, but she does need some training. We will be considering homes with larger breed dogs but not small breeds but this will be down to proper introductions first.  She is quite reserved and wary of strangers but the kennels suggested they could put her on a long lead in their grassy area so a potential adopter armed with treats could simply sit in the sun and let her approach in her own time, She rarely barks is quiet at night and very clean that while some dogs will mess in their night sleeping area she waits until she is let out and only ever goes in the exercise yard so we are certain she’s housetrained, kennel staff are able to touch her anywhere head, tail, paws, mouth, abdomen. She allowed the assessor to tickle her under the chin. The assessor watched her walk on a lead and she was fine. No pulling or holding back and this has generally been the kennel staff's  experience of her. She looks in excellent physical condition. Not under or overweight moulting a bit due to the heat. Eats anything so mainly has kibble. No aggression around eating the kennel staff  can go in and take her bowl or put a hand in it and she lets them.

When living at home she lived with 3 children aged 7 to 15 so we would consider families with children of these ages.

We would consider homes with resident dogs of similar size to Bear but no small breeds, this is erring on the side of caution as anyone that knows her says she would probably never attack again, but they were playing boisterously when she should of been on crate rest, very tender still . Obviously before an adoption could take place proper introductions MUST be done, also we would prefer if you could visit her a few times or have time to spend getting to know her due to her wariness around strangers .

5 Year old Winnie available to adopt in West Sussex

Winnie is 5 years old and available to adopt in West Sussex.

* Has lived with a cat

* needs socialising on leash, at moment must be only dog. Wary of other dogs on lead, but has played with dogs off lead.

* can be rehomed with teenagers

* does have some resource guarding issues that can be worked with.

As you can see Winnie is a beautiful Dogue De Bordeaux, in excellent condition. She can be playful. She is wary of strangers at first and will bark, but once reassured and fed some treats she calms down. She is then very affectionate and loves a cuddle. Winnie would prefer a home with bigger rooms as she gets a little anxious in small spaces, she will pant and pace.

Winnie does have a habit of fetching items such as tea towels, shoes and blankets and taking them to her bed, she will have a little growl if you try to remove these items but will allow you to sit with her if you don't , it's thought she is seeking comfort from these items. Winnie does guard her food but was very receptive to a brief bit of training from a behaviourist , it would just mean letting Winnie have her own space to eat in til this can be worked on.

Winnie walks well on leash and wears a k9 harness, she also likes some off lead running and in her previous home was very playful with other dogs at this time, but on leash she tends to be wary of other dogs, she definitely needs some on lead training.

Like most rehomed dogs, she will need time to settle in and this could be factors in her behaviours , dogs find the rehoming process very stressful and do exhibit behaviours that would not normally be so bad or even exist .

We are looking for a very experienced home for Winnie, we would accept applicants with cats and teenage children, no young children simply due to her "guarding" .

If you feel you could give Winnie an amazing home please either pm us on the page or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .....................

STILL AVAILABLE, URGENT!!! now in kennels -1 YEAR OLD ROSIE AVAILABLE TO ADOPT IN LIVERPOOL

 ROSIE 10 MONTHS OLD

*LOVES WALKS DOES NEED MORE TRAINING DUE TO AGE.

*NEEDS SOCIALISING

* UNKNOWN WITH CATS , YOUNG ENOUGH TO TRAIN ,

*WOULD POSSIBLY BE OK WITH 13+ DOG SAVVY , LARGE BREED EXPERIENCED CHILDREN.

Lets say a big hello to gorgeous Rosie, 11 month old little beauty being rehomed due to personal circumstances and not due to any issue with Rosie.

Rosie loves her walks and does due to age need some more training on the lead, she would benefit from a harness to correct her pulling, but her recall is doing well, although we do not recommend you let her off lead until you have her trust.

Rosie used to live with another dog but has now decided she does not like them so we are looking for a dog free home and recommend socialisation classes. She has never had any contact with a cat.

Rosie gets scared when she is in new situations and needs to be introduced to people correctly or she imprints and associates future events with the thing she has imprinted. For this reason we are now saying Rosie would be in a home where either there are no children or older very dog savvy and large breed experienced children, who won't be too scared to tell him no or leave. There is absolutely no aggression just a lot of bluster !

Rosie's assessor said she was simply a delight to have met, lovely and friendly . Rosie is now in kennels in the Liverpool area and her kennel master has said she has settled well but as with all mastiffs kennels are not the ideal place for her and we need to find her a home as soon as possible .....

If you would be interested in adopting Rosie please either pm us on the facebook page or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ...............................
